A few hours by boat from Maputo, Inhaca Island offers beaches, coral reefs and a marine research station. It is a popular escape from the capital for snorkelling, diving and fresh seafood, with a relaxed island feel. A good add-on for travellers starting in Maputo before heading up the coast to Inhambane.
